Because this car is not your average joe car off the street, it falls into a different category for pricing. You can't really use Kelley Blue Book to get a good number.
It is old enough to be a collector but not yet an antique. The key with collectors is "DO THE NUMBERS MATCH?" This is an indication of how many original or "factory" parts the car still has. Generally, if it's all original it will bring the highest dollar amount.
Corvettes can prove their originality by being evaluated and classes as "survivors". This is done at Bloomington, IL. A Bloomington Survivor is like a piece of artwork or jewelry with provenance. It will always be worth more.
To finally answer your question, you should have the car professionally appraised. Owners should have a good idea for insurance purposes, and buyers and sellers should have a good idea for asking price. There is too much variation between cars that look exactly the same on the surface to give you a good estimate without having it REALLY looked at.

Sounds like yours is for sale. Check out Hemmings.com below:
http://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/carsforsale/chevrolet/corvette/?year=1978
about $9,000 to $45,000. One of these has a reported 8 miles on the odometer!
I think all '78 vettes were pacecars...maybe not, but one of the commemorative years had pacecar decals included with the sale. The new owner could apply them or leave them off. These were not "hot" vettes because of emission restrictions.

We merely went to a friends twenty 5th and the toddlers gave them a ask your self party in a private room at Dave & Busters. that they had open bar for 3 hours, buffet foodstuff, a dj and a slide coach of the couple and friends by the years. It became great and no person had to freshen up.

7-10. The fact that it's missing the glass tells me it's not in "great" shape.
My guess is it hasn't been restored.

I would go to kellybluebook.com. There you can find a very accurate blue book value and or private sale value for the car. It is a great site for that.

I would sell it for around $13,000-15,000 due to it being garaged and the low miles as well as the condition.
