They have produced a recreation of events leading up to the 9/11 attack based on the 9/11 Commission's reports as well as testimony by others involved. When discussing why we are fighting Islamists, it is a good idea to understand how we got into this mess.

Bill Clinton is upset because it reveals his own refusals to take out Osama bin Laden when he had the chance. Notice that the Left are insisting Bush is intentionally not killing Osama? This is to distract from the fact that it's actually true of Bill Clinton.

If the lesson to be learned is that inaction leads to greater tragedy, then let's ensure that the population understands why we are doing what we are doing.

well... I don't know that much about it... but from what I can gather, it basically takes the most conservative friendly view of the events, regardless of how many people said otherwise.. basically if one person said it happened one way and it paints Clinton in a horrible light, that's the one they are going with, even if 50 other people said it didn't happen that way...

talk to enough people, you get all kinds of crazy stories, just look at all the 9-11 conspiracy theories? Why do conservatives not believe them, yet they are so fast to believe other stories that have a similar small amount of support from a very small number of witnesses?

I suspect that if this airs, there may be a few "docudramas" made about the Bush administration... that make Moore's movies look like a Republican TV commercial...

open the door to the "least common denominator of the truth"... then you'll get a ton of propaganda and lies...

The timing of this mini series doesn't have anything to do with market share or selling commercials. It was hoped to be presented as information before people go to the polls to vote. Any number of steps were taken to cloak this as unvarnished truth from bringing in the Co-chairman of the 9/11 Commission, Keane to the planned distribution by Scholastic Press along with teaching materials. Too many questions have arisen about the fairness and accuracy of the project to simply go ahead and televise it without review. The project was funded and controlled by highly biased partisans and accepting it without doing some fact checking would be just plain stupid.

The biggest reason it is contriversial right now is because many members of the Clinton administration are speaking out against it because it places some of the blame on their shoulders. The little fiction that was added was the speaking between characters and the characters themselves, and my guess is, so that the real people who died wouldnt have to be portrayed and bring up bad feelings with their loved ones. Thats just my thoughts and opinon though.

I think that the propaganda piece, "Path to 9/11" should be shown in it's entirety AFTER the November elections. It is obvious that this cheesy manipulated pile of crap was created and funded by the the right-wing to sway the electorate (not all that sophisticated to begin with) to vote for candidates who support the Bush regime's rape of America. That ABC would participate in such a sham seems to indicate that they have either been intimidated or infiltrated by the fascist elements trying to totally control America for their own benefit.

I'm not certain of the date but I did see Bill Clinton come out and speak on it today... stating that they need to correct their false interpretations about the 911 Commission Report results.

He said they basically are flat out lieing about the 911 Commission Report.

Well, I don't plan to watch it because, from all accounts, it is an ultraconservative fictionalized account of those events and goes out of it's way to depict former President Clinton and his administration in the worst light imaginable. We don't need anything else to further divide our country right now. The conservatives would have you believe that President Clinton and his staff were worst than the devil himself! I think that they are the big devils and should be made to shut their lying mouths!
