You don't need to buy one. You can get them fitted free on the NHS. You can't buy one and fit it yourself anyway, it must be done by a health professional. Your GP can either refer you to a wellwoman clinic, or a family planning service, or may even have one as part of the surgery. If not, just look in your yellow pages under Family Planning, make an appointment, go along, tell them you would like the Mirena IUD, they will discuss it with you and fit it then and there. For free.

You can purchase it staright from the clinic if insurance dosent cover you or if you dont qualify for low income clinics. Just have your Dr give you their fax and some info and they wll ship it to your dr. They even have a payment plan. When I checked they were $400 (I was going to purchase one bc at the time my insurance didnt cover it it was fairly new)

The best solution is to go to your doctor and speak to them about this type of birth control. They will infom you about the procedure (which is the fitting and insertion), inform you about the cost and if your insurance company will cover it. You can go on the website and look around but your best bet is to talk to your doctor in person or over the phone. Good Luck.

London England or London Canada?

Get a prescription from your doctor, and then get it at the drugstore, and then your doctor MUST be the one to insert it properly.
