i'm not sure what section my questioin went under but anyway i was hoping some one could answer this....my friend (12 years old) says she gets these really bad pains in her lower abdominal and i'm worried about her (but then again it may just be that she's going to start her period) and she's been sick too, I would give her some advice since I started already, but I never had pains like that, so I don't know what to tell her

DW I get really bad pains like that too. This is the start of her period and the pain differs with different girls. This could be a sign that her period will not come regularly every month, but instead every 2 or 3 months. If the pain is really bad then tell her to put a hot water bottle on her abdomen and do some light excerise, that always helps. She should talk to her Mum as well, it's always good to get advice from parents.
Have a fantastic weekend

Peace

You've been a good friend up to now,so be a better one and make her tell her parents. If she won't,can you? She has to see a doctor or go to the hospital.Have you got a school nurse you can have a word with? It could be something simple, but if she does'nt get help,it could become worse.Would you please let me know how she gets on? Good luck. ps...a lot of people are saying it could be period pains, but she should'nt be being sick if it was just that

Your friend really should talk to her mother about this problem. That way, if she needs it, her mom can take her to the doctor!

She might be getting her period. Tell her to bring protection around and talk to her mom about it. or it could be something entierly different so talk to an adult about it.

She should tell her mom and see a doctor.
Then if it's something serious they can deal with it and she'll get better.
If it's normal, she'll be able to relax and that will help too.
