Actually according to history it was Ignatious of Antioch who was the first bishop neither Peter nor any of the other faithfull Apostles would accept that term as it did not exhist untill about 108C.E. nor did any one man other than Jesus have primacy or leadership over the Christian Congregation but was presided over by a group of older men wit equal responsibility for collective oversight for example when in the Christian congregation an issue arose over circumcision they didnt ask Peter what to do but he brought the matter to the Apostles and Older men in Acts ch 15 if you read that chapter you wull see that it was a body of Apostles and older men who made the deccissions for the congregation and chose or apointed mature men to see that those deccissions were carried out at No TIME HAS ONE MAN HAD PRIMACY OVER THE TRUE CHRISTIAN CONGREGATION NEVER HAS AND NEVER WILL AS JESUS IS THE HEAD OF THE CONGREGATION THAT WHY WE ARE CALLED CHRISTIANS AND NOT ANY THING ELSE ........!!!!!!! hope that clears up that long held misunderstanding with FACTS FROM THE BIBLE gorbalizer
