Israel is an excuse not a the true motivation. Most terrorists want an Islamic country. Many have decided the only way to do it is to stop the support of the US and other nations that prop up there often corrupt government. Hence US is a tagert.
Other terrorists want a pan-Islamic state. The biggest obstacle, US power and economy.
Others are just plain jealous.
The rest of the world likes to use the US as a scape goat for all problems.
End result, Israel is irrelevant to the hatred others feel toward us. How would you like to be Israel, attacked daily by people who you gave land back to. (Yes, Israel took it, but only after the other nations decided to attack Israel).

If the US political establishment refused to accept donations from AIPAC and collectively concluded that Israel was responsible for 58 years of shenanigans, perhaps Israel needs to be dragged before the UN for economic sanctions and the like. Israel is a country just like everyone else and is subject to the same rules as everyone else.

what's pissing off the terrorists isn't the us support of isrtael, but their own countries support of ignorance. they're being used by their own countries because they allow themselves to believe they are helping to destroy israel.
