It's hard to tell without seeing what the jacket looks like.
You probably can, it just may not look the best.
Most two button suits have a longer and/or wider lapel so that adding another button above the two already there might mess up the look of them. Adding a button under the two may make the jacket fit too tight around the waist and hips, there should be plenty of room for movement when the man walks, sits, bends over, etc... A too snug jacket may pop that extra button right off.

Take it to a dry cleaners or tailors and ask what they think can be done to add an extra button. They can tell you better than anyone if the jacket can maintain it's look with an extra button.

The problem is spacing of the buttonholes.
it would be difficult to move the existing 2, so to keep an even spacing you would have to put the new one in the middle of them.

try it, wear the suit and hold a similar button in the new position
its probably going to look cramped.

If you do find a place for the new button, then check for sewing tips web sites on how to cut and sew a buttonhole, its not difficult, just takes patience
