There are heat strips along the outside edges of the door frame, and in the middle between the doors. This is to keep condensation from forming on the outside of the refridgerator due to the cooler air inside that comes out naturally or when you open the door. Some seem hotter than others, but unless it is burning hot, it is a normal function of your refrigerator. Sold and installed refrigerators for 2 years. Question came up a lot after installations.

I know a refrigerator works by removing hot air (not by supplying cold air) and therefore you are probably feeling where the hot air is being extracted...maybe....or maybe something is running in there...

I HAVE A SIX YEAR OLD SEARS,I NOTICE IT THE FIRST DAY,I CALLED,SEARS SENT A TECH. HE SAID ITS WORKING GREAT,ITS STILL HOT BUT WORKING GREAT.
