It just seems everywhere on the internet where america is being discussed everyone is saying its collapsing. Its almost like people are wishing for it. People dont' realize if USA falls then so will the other nations.

Sad there are so many anti-americans around the world (many many way before Bush too).

I don't know who is 'wishing for it'. I think a lot of us are just feeling that we are losing what we thought our nation stood for and we are upset.

We are feeling powerless because Bush seems to be doing anything he wants to do no matter how much of the consitution it violates; therefore, you are hearing frustration.

If America were to fall, I don't know if all the others would follow. Too many of them who don't like us depend on us for a large part of their economy. They are very jealous. They think all Americans are rich. Look at the U.N. They always expect America to pay a far larger share than any other country. We are the first ones everyone turns to for help. Personally, I don't think we're gonna fall. The dollar might take a really low dip but that's all. What America needs to learn is how to say no & then stick to it. People in some parts of the world have been fighting for hundreds of years over religion or ethnicity. We can wage war against them all we want but it won't stop them.

I don't know about "collapsing", but the US economy has been hit hard in all areas (oil, softwood, military, national security)... it costs a lot of money to run wars. The president isn't the most popular guy in the universe right now which also hurts the economy. US Housing markets are on the decline... I have to wonder just how much of this is tied to foreign policy. If the US collapses there would be hardships faced by other countries whether we choose to admit it or not. I don't think these other nations would "fall" necessarily, but it would certainly put a hiccup in the whole "world order" thing... just my 2 cents.

What is even sadder is most of these America haters are American. These same people who seem to almost want our country to die would be the first ones turning to a strong conservative leader to save their asses. Just look at Germany after WWI. The country was in chaos, the chaos so many left wingers seem to want, and what happened? A fascist, what some would describe as ultra right winger, was invited in with open arms. People. Liberalism is a concept that can only exist in a stable prosperous country. Imagine that our country did collapse. While we are all running through the streets with our guns trying to find food and land to survive on, do you think anyone is going to give a sht about gay marriage and abortions? I cannot wrap my mind around it; liberals are more concerned with gay people and baby murder! Their logic escapes me. This is not a game, this is life. If the United States fails the entire world will fail. And you bastards better not bring about the demise of my country! Mark my words; we will organize an ideological machine for your ***! If this country begins to fail the left wingers will be rightfully blamed and the person who takes control of this country will not spare you. The conditions are ripe for a fanatical right winger if our country begins to fall apart. And if Bush is president when it occurs I will not blame his conservatism for the demise of our country, I will blame his liberal policies.

Good point, but people in America have always thought it was going to fall. Civil War, WWII, the Cold War, and i am pretty sure there have been other times. Oh yeah, the after the revolutionary war with the Articles of Confederation, and even when the Constitution was drafted. People have always hated America like you said, and they always will.

EDIT: Actually, the poor parts of the world rely on America for life. http://www.networkforgood.org/topics/international/earthquake/tsunami122604.aspx?NfgReferredBy=http%3a%2f%2fwww.google.com%2fsearch

That's the problem with Americans. they thing that if they fall everybody else will...NOT TRUE, specially not Europe. So is it a surprise that America collapsing would be a great thing in everybody else's mind? Take your place as one powerful country, but don't expect the world to fall if you do, really, what good has America done that would make this fact regrettable? Think about it...
FYI: America is a continent NOT a country.

I agree with you; its very sad that there are so many anti-americans. We as people are genaralized based on what our country leaders do, and its not fair.

And I don't think that the USA is collapsing. Hopefully, things will begin looking up with the election of a new president in 2008.

Many people are not Anti-American, they are anti-Bush. Our present government is not our country, we the people are the country and many of us disagree with him. By complaining, posting question and changing minds on here, we hope to STOP America from falling.

yes there is too much anti-Americanism...you can't blame Bush for all of it too...like many want to do...you would be surprised how different CNN international is to CNN in America...the international version is sooo anti-American in japan i can't watch it anymore...the BBC, CBS, ABC, and the sad part is that many other nations believe Americans believe the same crap that those stations push on TV about America...it really is just a propaganda war...i think we need more regulation of the media...

The country itself will not fall, also the rest of the world really don't depend on you.
Your corrupt politics and lying leaders did lose respect all over the world, and now it becomes more clear we don't need you after all.
