The easiest way I learned is go to a pawn shop and buy a cheapo computer. Make sure it works first. Look at it, take it all apart, then put it all back together. If it works then you can build a computer. Then get you a book to read about building a computer that is worth money.
Thats what I did when I first started. Heck with books I wanna learn by trial and error.

A+ is best to take after you build a computer. I just got certified in it and Im glad I knew about computers before I took the cert.

Ohhh Boy, Building a PC can be frustrating, from selective your hardware (case, motherboard, processor, drives, memory, etc)
then you have to load the operating system (ex windows XP, 2000 etc..) then load drivers. My suggestion will be to take some A+ certification training, that will gives you a good foundation.

2gb of ram on the motherboards
4 hrard driver's 4x 400gb
4 cpufan 2 power box
2 (dvd)drives
2(dvd)-(rw) drives
that is 4 x in-all

2 out connection card for ps2/ps3 play staion /camcorder/ dvd/video /big tv sattilite tv /cable tv... to link up to your desktop pc/ laptop //does NOT conflict with any pc Graphics card
2 lan Fast Ethernet interface cards
2 Ati All-in-wonder X1900 256mb Gddr3 Pci Express X16 Video Card/tv Tuner
2 wireless card
windows xp home on the 1mater hard drive.400gb
windows xp pro on the other master hard drive.400gb
and 2 back up slave hard drives 4000gb
and have them both start up at the same time all in 1 tower box
made the tower box so it can have 2 computers in one box
ms-messenger on the 2in1 pc tower for file transfer from all hard drives
