I know I shouldnt ask this question because I am gay myself. But I am confused if it is the right thing to do sometimes. Please enlighten me with any comments!
- But first, I wanna ask Christians something: Since most gays are the product of nature and nuture (which means that there is some genetics involoved, and it is not their choice to be gay or not), then why would God created them? So God would creat gays that are born to go to hell? I think that is totally ridiculous! Also, isn't it God would love everyone regardless of what they do, especially the things that they have no control of?
- This is for the GLBT: again, i am sorry that I ask this question... but sometimes doesn't it come across your mind that we are evloved to produce offsprings? If we do not do that, aren't we violate the rule of nature? Also, arent we soppose to use our butt to dispose waste instead of having sex? Please, give me an alternative view of this.. I am confused...
PLEASE, NO HATRED COMMENTS!

I just want to say something regarding the stealing and the gay analogy.
I thought they are totally different thing. Yes, you may have a tendency to steal, but u can choose to steal or not. It is your decision to steal.
On the other hand, you cannot not choose to be gay (that's what I thought, at least). So do you mean that gay guys should live alone or force ourselves to lead a straight life?

So Seriously... what should I do?
Pursue my gay life or pretend to be straight? (None of my friends know that I am gay, and I never have a boyfriend)

This is a hard question for me to answer since I am a Christian and gay. I will only answer the first part of your question since evolution is a myth and isn't worth anyones time. I once read that God is perfect and when we accept Christ we are therefore made perfect like Him. This is hard since I know that me being gay is a sin. I believe God didn't make me gay. Nor did I choose it. I believe that everyone has a predisposition to sin. Some people have a disposition to lying or stealing. For me, I really try not to lie, and I haven't stolen since i was a child. But if you look at children, most first words are NO! and MINE! They even cry when they don't get their way. What is that? Coveteousness. Children don't know that that's what they are doing until their parents teach them that it's wrong. That's why we have the Bible. It tells us that homosexuality is a sin. And if you continue in sing it leads to death. God doesn't tell us not to be gay because he'll kill us, He tells us this because sin is dangerous. I'm sorry I got off track a little. Anyway, I don't think God made us gay. I believe that He can change us, but I think that we have to give up our pride. That's the thing with gay people (i know you all are gonna take offense to this) they not only accept being gay but are proud about it. Why be proud? Are heterosexuals proud to be straight? Do they have their little parades every year? What I'm trying to say is pride is the ultimate sin. Look at Lucifer. Pride started the whole thing. If we pride in being gay then it's going to be harder to see God. Because God requires us to come humbly to Him. How can we expect Him to heal us if we won't acknowledge that we need healed. I know this is a long answer and most of you will hate it and reject it, but as I read your answers and didn't judge I ask that you respect mine as well.

Travis,
You are a very curious person!
"Is it wrong to be gay?"
It is of little controversy to say that the Bible treats Homosexual practices, indeed, all practices of sex outside of a woman and a man who are married as a sin. It's just too obvious. But, so all sin is condemned in the Bible. I am bound by the fact that I am a Christian to accept this as truth.
"Since most gays are the product of nature... then why would God created them?"
He created Adam. It's important to get that straight. All that was necessary to form others out of Eve's womb was ordained by God. THEN sin happened. And we are all twisted with that corruption. It wasn't God's will that we are like this, His Permissive Will maybe, but not His Divine Will. That's an important distinction to get straight too.
"So God would creat gays that are born to go to hell?"
You are by admission, accepting what fundies and many Catholics say as being true. I can prove to you that they are wrong. Big time wrong. The way they slaughter the Gospel, they are sinning more than the Gay that wants to come to God is.
"I think that is totally ridiculous!"
Good for you! That's because you are right, it is totally ridiculous! And get this; the Gospel message was ordained by Jesus Christ. Jesus told them what it is. They jerked it around. I wouldn't want to be in their shoes!
"Also, isn't it God would love everyone regardless of what they do, especially the things that they have no control of?"
If you are on faith with Him, He will let you know what He does not want you to do. I realize that you are asking in the context of the fundies version of the Gospel, but do you see that "love conquers all?" Faith is the way we make contact with God, and His love is then ours to live in, rather than His Wrath, which was divereted by the atonement of Jesus Christ.
Dude, you seem to not be far from the Kingdom. (I think the whole Lord and Kingdom thing is great, especially with God being the King!)

I think it's normal for any marginalized and discriminated group of people to question whether or not they are somehow deficient. That's all about societal pressure to conform to the "norm" and seems to me quite sad but natural, and applicable way beyond sexual orientation.
Homosexuality as others have stated occurs throughout nature. It is natural. It irrational to believe a creator would condemn based on variation in a species, especially when all species on the planet are diverse with many varying characteristics. It's puritanism that so overly emphasizes and degrades sexuality, not God.
Homosexuality does not preclude anyone from reproducing. In fact, reproducing does happen all the time. It's more a question about the arrangements that are made -- including mating with the opposite sex before insemination was common practice. (Lesbians and gays have participated in marriages of convenience just as much as straights.)
Every body's genitalia excretes waste and provides pleasure - vaginal, penal, anal. That's just the way it is.
Thanks for asking. There are no dumb questions, and perhaps no specifically right or wrong answers -- well, except for those based in prejudice, ignorance, and hate.

Dear Travis
First of all does your body come with an instruction manual?
Is your willy labelled for reproduction purposes only?
Is there a plate on your butt saying "Warning - waste elimination chute - stand clear"
Arguments like these were used when the railways were introduced. Your body would not be able to survive travelling at 30 mph. Similar arguments were used against the motorcar, and the airplane. People still use these arguments to say that their kids shouldn't be vaccinated against polio, or get a blood transfusion.
Your body is your own. Treat it with kindness and attention and it will serve you well for a long time. Abuse it by working it to excess, starving it, overfeeding it, overdoing drugs, cigarettes, alcohol and it will eventually break down. You can also do things that help your body repair itself, like getting your teeth fixed, eating a balanced diet, and sleeping well. One of the best things you can do for you body is to allow it to have a good sex life. If your sexual preference is gay, then that's what your particular body needs. Just remember the safe sex rules when you play.

Frankly I don't care what the Christians have to say. It isn't my belief system and has no relevance to me.
Some animals as well as people are born sterile, unable to produce offspring. Does that mean they should never have sex? Does that mean they should have to spend their lives alone? Are we simply here to breed or is there something more? After our fertile years have past, should we go back to living alone until we die?
Have you ever stopped to consider the fact that overcrowding and other conditions might bring on stress in pregnant females and a particular condition is biologically programmed into their system to ensure that her child will not reproduce and add to the overcrowded conditions? Some animals under these circumstances spontaneously abort, other animals will eat their young. Could homosexuality not be a "natural" way to limit the population without adversely affecting the productiveness of that member of society?
Just something to consider.

First off, don't ask christians their opinions about this. They are so predictable, you already know their response. What has religion got to do with who you are attracted to and want as friends?
Just be yourself without endangering yourself or others. In 5 years or 50 years your ideas may have changed but you won't be able to make the best choices without some life experience behind you. I'm not saying to go out and do something stupid with other gays, just do what everyone else is trying to do - find a soul mate - their gender isn't important.

I know of NO straights who are willing to live in a Gay life style because society would prefer it. I see no reason why I should live a straight life style because my life may offend some priggish, borish people somewhere in the mid west...like I really care! I have had no problems in my life with discrimination so far, and truely, I do not expect any. Otherwise, I will be forced to slug them out with great speed. I can be tolerant of idiots, but again, I see no real reason why ... If someone with me is insulted by a hate mongerer, I rise to the situation and correct it...usually it takes no more than one well place punch to bring tranquility to the situation. Good luck

Love is never wrong. If your body responds to the same gender as you are, then you are homosexual. You can choose to live alone, but don't choose to lie to yourself or some woman who's life you will make a living hell. THAT is wrong.
You sound like you are tugged in several directions. Two suggestions. One find a MCC church in your community, you sound like you are searching for something, and you might find it there. Metro Community Church's minister to the gay, lesbian, bi, and trans community in their area's. Its a great place to find home. If you don't have one in your area, then search the internet to find their main web page and contact them for advice.
The other suggestion is that you need to talk to someone about your unsettled feelings about being gay. Find a counselor who's practice is positive counseling for glbt patients.
You can be gay and have children, just go to any Pride Fest and you will fall over from the amount of kids and dogs.
Good luck to you.

There are many routes the answer to this question could take. I fear by posting this question on here you're going to get some answers you'd prefer not to, being homosexual yourself. Though personally, I feel the only person that can answer this question for you...is you, yourself!
Everyone will have their own point of view. Most devout Christians will more than likely answer this as though it is wrong to be homosexual. Why? Because a book, proclaimed to be influenced by the word of God on how people should live their lives, says it's wrong. Bullocks, I say! If it is so wrong according to them why wasn't it one of the 10 commandments (basic laws to remain right with God)? If God is as compassionate as they say, I believe if you accept him as your Lord and Saviour he really won't mind that you've slept with someone of the same sex.
My opinion on your latter question: Genetically, we are designed to reproduce. Does that mean we have to? There are people that medically cannot reproduce...are they in violation of this supposed 'law'? What if perhaps this is another stem in evolution along the same lines of natural selection and survival of the fittest. Population of the world is a great concern especially in areas like China, what if homosexulaity is an evolutionary step in population control? A bit far of a suggestion I think, but what if?
In conclusion, I'd like to wish you luck on your quest for your answer. Though, I'd like to say in the end it's your point of view that should matter to you. Don't let anyone's opinion bring you down. Live your life for yourself and remember Life, Liberty and the PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS. Basic rights we sometimes forget we are granted!

Everyone has a purpose in life and not all of us were created to have children. Look at Liberochi(sp way off I know) He was totally fabulous. Now imagine trying to live in his shadow as his child. OUCH! he was here to entertain people and was very good at it. He didnt have to have children to fufil this goal.I beleive that we all must find our paths, regardless of where they lead or if we have children and then do our best to fufil whatever destiny lays at the end. Some tasks require greater sacrifice then others and if we had children to take with us they would only be misriable.
Beyond that the fact you can be who you are and ask questions is normal. No querrels here love!
Blessed Be
