Masturbation is done by girls and guys. Its done more by guys. Its the stimulation of the genitals for the purpose of sexual arousal. Most ppl do it until they have an orgasim. The main reason why we masturbate is because its quite fun. Some chiks do it to relieve their period cramps or to make them sleep better. Most ppl masturbate in bed, while some in showers. And lastly, no we are not disturbed. Its natural to explore your body and masturbate.

People masturbate because humans have a natural instinct to procreate. Since we suppress our urges to have sex we are forced to find a different outlet to satisfy that instinct.
Men's reproductive system cycles about every 20 minutes. That's why they say men are constantly thinking about sex. We are quite literally supressing our instinct all day, every day.
Women, as we all know, cycle about every 28 days. That is why the average women has a much lower sex drive and typically masturbate less.
Masturbation is a completely natural and healthy way of dealing with sexual urges. Everyone masturbates no matter how many like to deny it. Most men stop denying it around the age of 18. That's when we realize it's normal. Many women will deny it for their entire lives. Some would rather die than admit a perfectly normal and healthy activity like masturbation.

Nobody's really answered the 'why' part of your question so I will. In short, people masturbate because we all [no matter who you are] gettin special urges as hormones start to increase ect. They make you feel 'horny' like you want to have sex. It's much better if a person masturbates 24-7 than if a person has sex 24-7.....at least I would think so.

No, actually you're disturbed if you DON'T. As for How, there are plenty of web sites that can give you suggestions, there are as many was as there are leaves on a tree. As for why, it relieves tension, sexual frustration, and releases endorphins (which make you feel good). Also, it just feels good. It's an enjoyable AND SAFE activity.
