When you jump from a plane (birth) you don't need a parachute,(God) but you take one with you becuase you are afraid of death. (death)
God is a parachute.
God should not be a parachute, but people need parachutes to survive the jump.
When you see that ground a coming you let that parachute go.
When something happens that ruins your constant rate of peticular fall, you look around and relize that maybe it is time to let that parachute out and help you out a little.
God today is being used.
Listen to the prays of the saints.
God please let me have a brand new car.
God please, give me a safe journey.
God help my mother for she is ill.
If we keep poking this God don't you think he going to get a little annoyed.
There are 3.6 million christians.
Imagine a million of them poking you all at the same time.
With out God there is no higher power to poke.
Let's say the christian God exists.
If this God comes back he will DESTROY the non-believers.
"Is there a difference if there is not a God?"
Yes a major difference in society.
Every one that turned to God in jail,
every one that turned to God after being suicdel, ever one that turned to God when they where depressed, would not be were they are today.

It makes an enormous difference, both in this world and in the next (if there is one). It's the difference between life having true meaning, and life being a just a meaningless series of random accidents.

To me, it does not make a significant difference.
I don't understand how someone can say your life cannot have meaning without God.
Every day I find joy and beauty in life. That gives it meaning.

Even if someone could really prove there was no God, I would still be a moral and ethical person.

yes. it does make a difference. God has blessed me with many things that i wouldn't have been able to achieve without his help. =]

i dont think so. even if there wasnt, some people would still believe, because it is so much easier than admitting that youve been wrong for years
