They're cocky because they think that winning 26 world series in the past makes them worthy. Well, it doesn't. I've never really been against the Yanks, but it really annoys me when they start talking about how much the Mets suck. This year, they're gonna learn the hard way that the Mets DO NOT suck. Mets are going to totally own them in the World Series.
But I bet that when the Mets DO win, the Yankee fans will defend themselves by saying that we just got lucky, and to remember last time we faced them in the World Series. They'll say how wonderful the Yankees are and to just wait until next year.
Sometimes I just really want to smack some of them. They're arrogant and ignorant, and it really bothers me. They have no reason to act the way they do, and they don't seem to understand the concept of humility. They should just get a clue.

You better take a history lesson in baseball. Yankees "got rings",
plenty of them. Also known as "championships". Every year, all the teams play 162 games. You don't have to like the Yanks, but don't knock a team that has great success.

Who has been more consistent than the Yankees in that time period though? They are always good and have won many championships. If I were a Yankees fan I would probably feel the same way about them. As an organization, they have earned it to be cocky. I dont know about the fans being cocky because they havent done anything really except show up to the games. But again, if I was a fan of the Yankees, I probably would be counting their accomplishments compared to their rivals.

yeah yankees choke when it counts since they have won 26 world series. How many has your favorite team won? i know for a fact its not 26. You act like a 5 year drought is a huge deal, any other team they are happy to have that on their resume. And in those 5 years they went to the world series twice. I would like for you to tell me another team that has made 2 world seires in the last five year? I think the question you should be asking is why are you so ignorant.

Red Sox gans are way worse.You just don't hear it as much cuz they don't win as much.Think about it....the Red Sox were in first plce this year for a little bit and the Red Sox fans were going crazy talking about how bad teh Yankees were.

Fans don't even realize how much the Yankees pay THEIR TEAMS in royalties for having such a high payroll. Few even realize that most owners just pocket the cash. Any other team could pony up $200 million and only one does. Don't complain.

looks like i dont even need to answer this one nucklehead, because all rhe responses are nailing your warwick rhode island little *** to the wall. how can you even compare the yankees playoff record to the redsox? ok they are 26 and 5 in all playoff series since 1996. not perfect but solid. payroll? when you go to world series games you have to pay these players or you lose them. the redsox payroll is right behind them by the way. when the yankees win the losers cry "" look at your payroll"" when the yankees lose the winners cry"" we even beat you dispite your payroll'' you just cant win.. by the way little man, ive been following the yankees since 1970.. you just dumped your redsox after one five game sweep... now its the tigers? till who knocks them off then youll just run to them like a little sheep. i hope someone pours rock salt in your eyeballs then pops them, out and little minimen go rock climbing on your eyeballs and then they fall on the floor and the dog eats them up and burps the smell in your face... see ya till next time you come out of hiding little man.. look at the injuries we had and we were able to regain first place.. when the yanks won 4 rings in the 90s they only had john wetteland as their only significant free agent. all the rest were drafted or traded for.i had to change my name cause all you sniveling redsox pusses were complaining about my content like you weasel so i came up with a new one but i tried to make mine nugster but some fairy boy from trailer trash rhode island took it first..

I think your use of the word cocky is inacurate, We prefer to be called ARROGENT. as far as the reason behind this, its because at ANY COST George and Brian put a high quality team on the feild EVERY YEAR yes i said EVERY YEAR how about the D backs or the Angles or the Dred Sox????? Nope all of them are just flash in the pan teams that get to the playoffs OCCASIONALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
