i've been contributin to this website for a week now and i'm sick of posting a question just for idiots to post there views. if i ask a question it's not becuase i don't know the answer, if that was the case i would search for it, thats whats the internets for, it's because i want people's opinions. not stupid "i want to earn points" opinions but real opinions, i've asked a quetion on racism and been told i'm a racisit, i've asked a question on a prominant figure of the 20th century about how his face is a fashion image but nobdy knows what he was about and all i've got back is who he was! i know who he is and what he's about if i didn't i'd ask WHO HE WAS! this site is full of fools who want points for the sake of collecting points. THEY DON'T MEAN ANYTHING! YOU MAY BE LEVEL 7 BUT I BET YOUR STILL ON MINUMUM WAGE! please, somebody say something to grab my attention. save me from these w*nkers!

i'm sorry you feel this way. I thought that your question about whether people are racist was actually very relevant and thought provoking, which you don't get that often on here. keep at it, you may get a lot of crap but you also get some truly intelligent and interesting people on here.

If you don't like the water don't jump in the pool. Sorry couldn't quite resist. I've asked a few thought-provoking questions and did get some honest thoughtful responses. I didn't check to see how you phrased your previous questions but perhaps that's part of the problem. I would agree with you that a lot of the questions and responses seem silly or offensive to me. I just skip over them. Others are not in my area of interest or I don't have an opinion on that particular topic at this time. However, I enjoy scanning and reading the ones that do interest me. I have learned some things about myself which I sometimes don't like but it's good information. I have realized that some of the people that appear to proselytize offend me and I don't want to bother with them. But I might learn something if I took time to read a few.
Bottom line though - if this isn't your cup of tea - find someplace that suits you better.

I would have to say that I completely agree. I mean, I haven't even been on this website a week but I can see where you are coming from. The fact taht people don't get is that you actually are seeking out their opinion, not some crappy yes or no answer and certainly not some crappy explanation that is completely off the subject of your question. I like that you aren't afraid to tell people what you're feelin'. Keep it real. And, if I ever run across any of your questions that aren't resolved I promise I'll do my best to tell you what I think.

Why do you think this service would be any different from the rest of the Internet? Sorry to say, but this is free speech in action. Yes I shake my head when you see several instantaneous responses to a question that you just know are typing any old tosh for the points, but such is life.

Funny thing about this place is how closely it reflects society/human nature. You say people answer questions just for points, just for themselves. Ya ever notice how people in real life can act the same way, always doing things for selfish reasons? I read a book by a business psychologist ("Dinosaur Brains", I think) who said, "People will put their own desires before other, even friends and family". Sad but often true.
Also like real life, people will attack you if you say something controversial and they don't believe you. There's nothing wrong with holding a particular viewpoint, only what you do on its behalf.
Call your gripes an example of a "gravity" law. Ya can hate it all you want and fight it, but you'll lose anyway.
I'm with you on the answering without concern for points. Like Red Green sez "I'm pullin' for ya; we're all in this together".

To understand your question and know more about what you are talking about I went back and read all of your questions. They are not really questions but mostly rantings. You say ppl are not educated or just want points. Your questions are hard to read and understand, have misspellings, bad grammar, and are hate full and bring out the worst in everyone! You should not expect anymore than you are receiving! Did you ever hear about reaping what you sow? You are sowing bad answers: 2pts,ridicule, and huh? from your answerers so the answers are the product of your sowing! Have a great day!

I joined less than a week ago and I think it is great fun. I'd love to have more time online but i have to earn a living. I think you should lighten up! Your comment about minimum wage is arrogant. You do not need to be saved you need help!!

I love learning and discovering answers to my questions, so that's why I use Yahoo Answers. You could try to post the questions under other categories, and that way you will target them towards a different audience. Sure, there's a lot of people on here who just want to make silly comments, but there's also many who want to learn more about this world and the questions it raises, me being one of them!

I've often found the Meditations of Marcus Aurelius to be a useful guide to dealing with the countless knocks and bumps you have to face in the course of day to day existence.
Think of his words as like a soothing wash applied to sore eyes, rather than teachings to be followed.
