I don't think you should be alarmed because my baby has tubes in her ears and before she got them her eyes watered alot. Her doctor told me it was because of the frequent ear infections she got. Just talk with her doctor about it. If it is the same as my daughter had it should stop after she gets the tubes, but remember to always keep in touch with her doctor about her symptoms. :)

First off, eyes do not have to have puss or crusties for it to be pink eye...there are different types of pink eye, and one actually tends to just have clear fluid instead of anything green or yellow. Given that she's having ear issues, and knowing that this is a common time of year for colds and ear infections to brew, I would say a call to the doctor is definitely in order. Chances are the doctor will tell you to wait and watch for a few days to see if the situation improves or not. If it doesn't, she'll need to be seen to rule out any active infection needing antibiotics. If it does improve, then there's no reason to worry.

She could just have allergies. Keep an eye (no pun intended) on her and look for changes in the discharge. Like if it starts turning slightly yellow or green. Call your doctor if it persists. By the way, she looks very cute.

I agree with the tear duc problem. When your daughter crys is there tears? I was born with no tear ducs and had surgery on to get that repaired when I was about two. until then I had the same problem as your daughter. All my mom did until the surgery was wet a face towl with warm water and held it against my eyes until I could open them.

well, i was going to say pink eye, but i think it has to do with the tear ducts. a lady at church had the same problem with her daughter. she took her to the doctor, and it didn't correct on its own, so they sceduled a suregery, 2 or 3 days before the planned date, it got better! take her to a doc. congrats on the baby!

It could be the beginning stages of conjunctivitis (pink eye). The pediatrician will know for certain. Good luck!
