Because they invested so much media effort into concealing what happened during the 1990s and pretending that Bush started the whole Iraq/Afghanistan/Al Qaeda conflict.
Leftists depend upon 'generational amnesia' to rewrite history. A retelling of factual history leaves them looking like the liars they are.

I am right leaning myself, but to infer that the terror attacks on us is Clinton's fault is a bit much. The 9/11 attacks was the fault of the terrorist. We have had escalating attacks on us since the 70s and even back to the 60s. The American naivety led up to a lot of what happened that day.
Truth is this problem has been growing for years and every administration has ignored it. The sad historical fact is our government did not take the threat seriously prior to that day. GW ran on a platform of cleaning up Wall Street and ignored the calls from the NSA and CIA over the Cole and AQ. He even sent an e-mail to the head of the NSA wanting to know why he kept harping over AQ. But I will say he responded appropriately after so many before him ignored the problem.
The Dems are mostly upset over the timing. There is no way this movie will help them in Nov. Dub Ya will get a pass mainly because he was only on the job 10 months before the attacks, Clinton had 8 years and ran in the only conflict were we had someone fight back (Somalia). Clinton will look bad and should look bad, and this will probably hurt the Dems more in the midterms and hence why they are upset.

Both parties seem to be having problems with different parts of the film.
I think it is because most of the key players are still alive and kickin' - and no one likes to be shown in a situation that is extremely unflattering, if not downright incompetent.
On the other hand, and in all fairness to those involved, if ABC is going to promote this as a true accounting of the facts and events - they have no wiggle room to write in dialog that they have no transcripts to show was actually said by the person involved. And this seems to be the big complaint: dialog and quotes that the people involved have simply stated they did not say. If ABC can't prove otherwise, they should delete the quotes.
I have not seen the film, but I have read the 9/11 report - and there's certainly plenty of blame to go around - and a film based on the report is just asking for negative feedback and complaints from the people involved.
It should be an interesting documentary if ABC has any nuts.

I am a Dem. I am not upset. But I disagree with your premis. Like most dittos, you seem to want to shift responsibility away from the Republicans for the sorry state of affairs. Six troubling years of failure will not be masked by a couple of politically motivated speeches or silly made for TV pseudodocs. If I were you I would stop worrying about Clinton. he aint the Prez. Bush is the guy sending the world to hell in a handbasket. Cant wait for the sequel.

Why do Republicans throw all their support on a project that has been said to be factually wrong by almost everyone that has seen it that had ANYTHING to do with the events in the movie...
are you that desperate to distort the truth?
But hey, if you run it... it may open up the floodgates on "docudramas" that would make "Farenheit 9-11" look like a dictionary as far as being factually correct... hey, I'm sure no one in Hollywood would want to take the same liberties with the Bush administration? right?

Who has the most to gain from the distortions and fabrications in the film. Dems or Repubs? That will give you the answer as to why the Dems are upset.

I tend to think it's more of a show put on to deceive people into thinking that the two party system is real. Both parties are Illuminati/New World Order. They just have slightly different ways of shoving the coming fascist police state down our throats.

Fiction is fiction, I do not have a problem if they run it with a disclaimer that this movie is a dramatization of the real events and should not be taken as fact.

Same reason that Republicans were upset about Michael Moore's movie.
Both are fiction. Wonder if this one will be as boring as the last one.
