There's a guy I like that I've been trying to strike up a friendship through email. We were in a play together, and for a while we had a nice little email exchange going after the show was over, at least once a week we would email each other. All of a sudden it stopped and I haven't heard from him in almost a month. In the last email I sent him before he stopped responding I basically told him I went home on vacation to visit my family and asked him where he grew up. I emailed a few weeks later, saying I hoped I didn't say anything to annoy him. Still no response. Does he think I'm stalking or spamming him? Does he not have the courage or the common courtesy to tell me if I did something to upset him? Should I keep trying to establish contact or just give up on him?

Men typically don't think about how their actions, or lack thereof, effect a woman. Often they will take for granted that you'll still be there when they are ready or need to communicate again. Don't wait by the phone (email) honey.

I would say give up, hes not interested in being a friend to you. It seems like he felt you were "getting too close", that can scare some people off. Why do you want to be this person's friend anyway, he sounds sorta flaky.

Maybe he was offended and you got a little to personal, i doubt it but still...
or maybe he has bad memories
