If you saw a really really bad question that sounded like that person would harm someone of that race or religious belief, would you want them reported to the government such as the Homeland Security Council. even if they asked it in here.

ITS NOT FREEDOM OF SPEECH, ITS A CRIME TO THREATEN A LIFE. ANY LIFE.

If you use this question to threaten as a joke, that’s just as bad as the real person that would really do that to someone.
When people joke about killing how will we find people like terrorist or any other committing the real crime?

where in the law would this internet threat type action be under?

yes even if the threat is written as a joke it's still a threat. all threats should be reported to the police, and they will decide which departments of the government should be notified. a threat can be a joke one day and then happen the next week or even the next day. how would you feel if the threat really happened. if you hear something don't laugh it off report it. it may just be a cry for help.

I report them to the Yahoo Answers team, using the Abuse Report system.

For one thing, it probably isn't a credible threat (either sick "joking" or blowing off steam, more likely); for another, we, on this side of the screen, have no way of knowing who the person is.

Just report by clicking the little flag widget, paste the offending material, and get on with life.

Someone who's seriously going to do something most likely won't post it here.
