I know I have asked so many sims 2 questions you guys think I'm a freak. But I'm not. Anyway, my question is: How do you get clothes and stuff that you downloaded online? I thought you were supposed to type "boolprop testingCheatsEnabled true" in the cheat code screen in the neighborhood view. I tried that, but when I went into make a family screen, it didn't go into debugging mode! And I don't know why! Help, please! Thankz! And first answer I see that works gets 10 points!

boolprop testingCheatsEnabled true has absolutely nothing to do with installing clothes! YIKES, I don't know where you got that info but it is totally wrong. That code is used to do programming adjustments to the game and it can totally screw up your game so bad, you will have to reinstall. So don't mess with it til you're advanced enough to know what it does.

Okay, to get clothes into your game, you have to put the downloads into your download folder. You need to know where your download folder is for the game and it is at

My Documents/ EA GAMES/ The Sims 2

you need to create a folder in that area called
Downloads
And then when you download stuff, you put it into that folder.

You cannot just download anything and dump it into the folder. You need to know if the item needs a mesh. ONLY the site you download at can tell you that. Since I don't know where you are going to get your downloads, I can't tell you if you have the required meshes and if you also need a CEP file. To get tutored on that, you need to see diagrams and they are on the links below.

When you download anything for your sims to play with in the game, you should also have the CLEAN INSTALLER that checks your downloads to be sure they are safe.

If you are downloading from the Official Sims 2 site then downloads are so automatic you don't have to think about it.

While you are playing your game, you just click on the control icon on the left where the asterisk is, and it will say "Custom Content Browser" and ask if you want to go get free downloads from Sims2.com. You click yes and then it will give you a menu of high rated downloads to pick from. These will install immediately into your game (might take a little time to download).

For other downloads you cannot be in the game. The Game has to be turned off completely when you do downloads. You can download things at the official site or learn to download stuff by visiting these two sites.
