I was just thinking, did they just want to crash the planes in the WTC and that would be it, or did they know that the buildings would fall?

The plan was to cause as much destruction as possible -- and yes, I believe they were targeting things so that the possibility of the buildings coming down in total destruction could happen. These terror organizations convince a lot of really bizarre individuals to commit actions (either through some faulty mental processes ... or, if not possible ... then through 'rewards' of drugs, promises of money for their families, or the rewards of 'virgins' to rape, for example) that ANY ONE in any SANE state of Mind would NEVER commit.

I don't think the people who flew the planes into the buildings knew anything more than that.

The buildings couldn't have fallen solely fromr the planes crashing into them, however. That is impossible according to the laws of physics. The buildings fell down by some other means, and we'll just have to wait 30 or 50 years before someone confesses and lets us know what really happened.

They knew the buildings would fall because they tired to bomb the building in the lower levels of the car garage. They wanted to take out the building from the bottom foundation to make the buildings fall.
If they were smart enough to highjack transcontental planes because they had the most jet fuel, they knew exactly what they were doing and what was going to happen

I think that they just wanted to completey send a message to the United States and completeyl disrespect us, whether they fell or not. They knew they were going to have to crash the plane anyway to kill all of the captives on the plane so they must of figured to make a grand finale. Just like North Korea did when they decided to test missile's on July 4th. Very Sad.

Those terrorists did their homework. They wanted to get a plane that goes from the east coast to the west coast because it's bigger. I think they wanted it to burn down with all the jet fuel. I hope those terrorists are burning in Hell for all eternity. They wanted to kill Americans and destroy our greatest buildings here in New York. Plus it killed more when it collapsed. I just get very angry everytime I see a picture of 9/11 or hear about it. And seeing my favorite buildings come down killing my fellow New Yorkers. I can't help it.

I think they knew exactly what they were doing. That's why they hijacked transcontinental planes with the most fuel. They knew the volatility of plane fuel. I'm sure they also researched the burning temperature of jet fuel and at what temperature insulation and steel girders would fail. Their heinous plan was years in the making and I'm sure they researched every minute detail. I feel the 1993 bombing was a test run.

Yes, the terrorists knew. Whoever they were.Wherever they are today. But I'm disturbed that the owner of the WTC bldgs admitted that he told the firemen to
"pull it" after the crashes
Pull what?

Sure they knew - after all, they colluded with the US Govt, who assured them that the towers would fall by planting dynamite inside the buildings.....

Did you know that one week prior to 9/11, all bomb sniffing dogs were removed from the premises? Ever wonder why?????

I'm sure they were hoping they would fall over sideways as to crush more buildings and cause more harm. Sure they weren't thinking they would fall straight down.

Given that they had tried to use a bomb to bring down the buildings earlier, I'd say their intent was to destroy the buildings, screw whoever was in them at the time.
