Hang in there! Between my sophomore year and graduation I went from 5'6 and 150 to 6' and 210 and was able to play college ball. Stick with the game and be disciplined with your workouts. Remember, you have to eat and you have to sleep- don't short yourself on either of these basics if you're trying to grow as an athlete.
As for position Defensive back or wide out. Depending on your level and the scope of your program you could also see if your coach would consider using you as a slot receiver on offense and a nickle back on defense. They'll get you experience on both sides of the ball.

Due to your size I would have to say receiver or defensive back. Since your fast and have good hands I would lean towards receiver. Even though you can hit your lack of height might lead to opposing teams lining their taller receivers up on you and taking advantage of that situation if you played defensive back.

don't listen to the sarcastic answers. you may not be the biggest guy out there, but if you work hard enough, you can make it. i'd say look at cornerback if you have good speed, or maybe a tackler/blocker on special teams for kick returns, etc.
a famous coach once said, "What matters is not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog."
Good luck!
