Here is a link where you can get free prints and ideas to make a pico turbine windmill that will make electric. Not a lot but enough for a good school project. I made a 6 foot tall one with a double rotor. I wired it down so it would put out more amps and lower voltage and it was still putting out about 92 volts. Not much on the amps side but would light up a small strob of leds and would keep a 12 volt battery topped off. But you do not have to go as big as I did and make it to charge a couple aa batteries for a flash light. My big one costed me about 50 bucks. A small one would pretty much nothing if you have the magnuts. remember the key word Radio shack.

I like building plastic model kits, maybe you could give that a try. I also have a friend who is into collecting Hotwheel cars. Both of these hobbies are easy and, inexpensive to get started in. Radio controlled models of all kinds are becoming less expensive now with all of the Chinese imports. My current passion is radio controlled helicopters, people say that learning to fly a R/C helicopter is hard, I guess that's why I'm so interested in that hobby now. And of course there are video games, there must be millions of them to chose from.

To get ideas - go to your nearest Michael's store - there is something for everyone and classes to sign up for, from children to adults. Your question is so general - so this is a very general answer.

depends on what you want. painting, watercolor, gardening - it's about time to plants bulbs in some areas for next season, scrapbooking (it's easy so long as you don't go overboard with details), i don't know what you would find fun!
