I heard that some company, possible Johnson & Johnson, is going to start sending cottonballs in the mail to everyone as a marketing campaign. So be careful when you open your mailbox.
Also, there are probably cottonballs you dont know about in some of your vitamin and medicine bottles, and they are probably waiting patiently for you in the medicine cabinet..

I'm not sure it's been recognized yet. If that is the case then you simply call it "cotton ball phobia." It's uncommon, but people do have it. It may be tactile offensive/sensitivity triggered or visually the way it separates (like a spiders web) among others.

Since you are the only one that is afraid of them, the word that you made up for that fear sounds like it should be accepted as the correct one. Are you concerned that they are going to roll along the dresser top and jump into your mouth to smother you or is there another thing they do that is scary? They just look like harmless little white lumps to me.
