Does anyone know if Civilization 4 will run smoothly with a 1.8GHz AMD processor, with 1GB Ram, and a ATI Xpress 200M 64MB graphics card? I am looking at buying this game, and I want to know how it is going to act on my laptop before I buy it!

Thanks guys

Your card definitely needs an upgrade. The game is very graphically demanding, and it occasionally freezes up on my 3.0 gHz dual-core with a 512MB Radeon. I don't think yours would run it, unfortunately.

I'd go out and get a card that has at least 128 mb on it. They've come down in price some so it shouldn't be too hard. I was running Civ 4 pretty well on my p4 2.8 ghz/ 1 gb ram pc and I have the 9600 all-in wonder with 128.

The graphics card will slow it down a bit. Also the movies don't run properly with a card that size. The RAM is fine although your processor speed may be a little slow also.
I had to upgrade my graphics card when given this game last week....
