For me, it was seeing a lifeless 4 week old baby floating on the bottom of a bathtub. I know the baby wasn't real, it was just a prop for a show, but the image was utterly horrifying. A close second is the scene in Trainspotting when we see the baby who starved to death. I couldn't watch past that point and will NEVER watch that movie again.

I can watch horror movies and say "ew gross", but I can handle it. Not so with the babies. Maybe it's because I have one of my own, I don't know.

So... what about everyone else?

Yeah same with me- anything w/ kids- especially babies being abused (verbally. physically or sexually) i think its because i have a baby too. It makes me sick, and sad. like in... i think it was boys dont cry- they shot that babys mom right in front of the baby. poor thing. It makes me upset when its a real baby, props dont matter to me. because either way- whether the scene happened or not- that little baby still had to cry... I think I thought about that one cause yesterday i smashed my finger in the door and screamed and cried and my almost 2 year old started screaming and stomping his feet and stuff (i dont know if he thought it was his fault or was scared) oh also i remember maury or one of those shows where some wacky lady called 9-1-1 and completely comfortable was like "i just cut my babys arms off with a knife" and they asked if the baby was breathing or alive and she said "nope"
yuk! so that was pretty disturbing.
anyway so yeah... theres my novel!

Nothing frightening. For disturbing it was probably something on the Discovery Health channel on one of those emergency room or critical hour shows I watch.

Stephen King easily has some sturdy books. His submit-apocalyptic e book (easily incorporates the apocalypse) is the stand. as properly to this, he has yet another very sturdy sequence it is properly worth a study whatever sort of vogue you like: the dark tower sequence. the 1st e book sucks (he wrote it whilst he became into 19), yet after that it is purely astonishing.
