yes.. and I am not sure what I could possibly do about it.. in fact the party has been sliced and diced by the current administration so badly that I am not sure what it means to be "Republican" anymore. I so often have to play liberal to respond to the overwhelmingly ignorant neocon ramblings that at this point..I'm really an independent.... but being gay is sort of a trendy thing these days. I am not so sure I care enough about your sex life that I would want to do something about it. I don't base my existence on my hetero tendencies so it confuses me when Gay's and Lesbians are so in your face about it ? Honestly if we could just acknowledge each others living rights I don't think I would have to consider it at all.. I believe that individual Axe grinding is divisive and not helping over all.. I know that's not a popular opinion to have but it's just not an issue that needs to be gone over and over..
basic human rights covers all of the basics.. lets work together.

I'm a Republican. It has nothing to do about how I feel. My religion is what I base my belief on. While I believe we have a choice on what we do in our life I don't believe we have the right to shove it down others throats. Homosexuality is a life choice and a sin and I will do everything I can to keep it out of the schools and wherever else it is inappropriate. I support the ACLJ. The American Center for Law and Justice. The ACLU might try to destroy everything religious but they will never win. God Will. P.S. We are always left to clean up after the Democrats.

No I am a Democrat and a homophobe. Everybody has the right to live as they choose and I'll will support their legal rights every time.
But I will never sit and think it's a great thing. Cause I don't and guess what I don't have too. The Constitution of this great land guarantees my rights to be a homophobe.
So it's great that they can all come out of the closet...but doggone it...I sure wish they'd stay out of my living room.
See Conservatives and Liberals don't always have to be on opposite sides all the time.

You don't have to be afraid of something to not like it.
Many don't agree with the influence homosexuals have on society. Any group that is less than 5% of society should not have that much influence. There is nothing wrong with doing what you want behind closed doors but parading in erotic costumes only polarizes people.
I have no problem with gay America and most people don't. I do have a problem with the fringes of gay society that make spectacles of themselves on gay pride days.
What do you plan to do about that?

I am a Republican and not homophobic. I think that placing homophobia in a party is an irresponsible way of thinking. I am not going to do anything about the fact that you feel that way because it is not a party issue.

Well, I think the democratic party is mostly racist. What are they going to do about it?
I suggest they start making laws, programs, etc. for everyone, instead of excluding some because of their race and/or sex.
You can't blame a party for the actions/ words of a few morons.

Well as an ex-gay republican myself, I can vouch for the fact that they just basically let that issues go... they overlook it believe it or not.
I associate bigotry with the republican party because I was once one of them and was raised in a staunch republican family. My father only had one word for blacks and that started with an 'n'. I was taught hate at a young age.
You see this all the time even on here when ppl try to say only black democrats want to live on welfare off their tax dollars. The republican party successfully painted a black face on welfare in order to motivate bigotry. The fact is that just as many republican poor are on welfare and blacks are only around 23% of welfare recipients.
Gingrich was quoted in 1993 as saying that the republican party needed to stop being the party against everything... he even called them the 'anti party'. Really. That came out of his own mouth.
I also think that when they use ppl like Rove that purposely uses hate to motivate their party to vote (he has stated this also), that this results in bigotry and the 'us' versus 'them' syndrome.
Thank God I grew up and educated myself.

Me too ~ as long as you have consenting adults--I don't care who does what (or who) in their bedrooms-------I really can't understand why people (and there are dems who 'hate' gays too) care what people do in the privacy of their own home. Gay bashers are fixated on sexual activity of others--none of your business. As for the what are you going to do about it? Ignore them! You can't make them think any differently--there will always be @zzholes--you can't 'fix' them--just like 'they' can't 'fix' gays......they really aren't worth wasting your breath on.
Hey Neddie--I just googled "IDIOT" and you're profile came up! What a Nazi-esk thing to say.

Are you able to ask a true question, or do you use such opportunities to expose your ignorance and predetermined bigotry?
