Sooooo many times I've seen foaming-at-the-mouth conservatives call liberals "hippocrates." Um, thanks, but did you maybe mean "hypocrite?" Will some educated liberal please enlighten them as to the difference?

Although, once they get the spelling & grammar thing down, we might be able to understand their questions & answers well enough to be insulted. . .

To "dam", yeah, I already regret the generalization a bit. A little bitty bit. My beef is mostly with people who, as "hardartsystems" says, just parrot something they've heard but don't properly understand, regardless of political affiliation.

Now, now, "tiger," no need to be snarky. Did I strike a little close to home or something?

To mister (or miss?) "me": As a teacher, I found that one of the biggest barriers to student achievement was. . . the parents. Stuff like "I can't believe you're failing my little Billy because he misspelled a few words." Or "So what if she plagiarized the report, at least she did it." Kids who aren't held accountable by their parents are just flat not going to care about their educations. Which leaves us, the "system" as you put it, squat to work with.

LOL.. you just did, tank you . It comes from not understanding the word to begin with, That's what happens when you parrot something that you've heard.. you know SAT scores just dropped 31 points nationally.. and the main culprit was an essay ? Reading comprehension is a liberal concept obviously..

I am an educated conservative, but I do know the difference. "Hippocrates" - was a physician. We practice medicine, psychology, psychiatry, and etc. according to the principle that he is famous for "Do no harm"., also known as the Hippocratic othe.
Hypocrite - "do as I say not as I do". Someone who say, tells you that smoking is bad for you and never do it, while puffing on a cigarette themselves. Or goes in and starts a war in Bosnia, and will not support a war effort to keep his own country safe.
Is that educated enough for you, or do you still not quite understand or grasp the meaning?

foaming-at-the-mouth conservatives?
A large percent of Americans are conservative.
as are Liberal and the other thing (haven't made up their minds yet)
I would someday like to see us all be Americans first on a lot of issues and stop supporting the people that would use name calling to such a large percent of Americans.

So I guess I can't give any support your comment.

I think the first has to do with the oath that doctors take. Hippocratic? I wish people would use the spell check on this thing. I'm extremely picky about grammar.

It doesn't matter what party they are in. All politicians are back-stabbing liars with their own personal agenda.
Years ago I went "party-less", there just aren't any candidates worth "fighting" for anymore. They ALL say one thing and do another, it is getting so commonplace it seems as if it is a requisite for the job.

As the guy above said, it's thanks in part to you libs throwing money at the pub[l]ic-school system that many people in the U.S. can't spell correctly. Now get your facts straight. You think that just throwing money at a corrupt system will solve everything. That's your lib mentality.

Hmmm! The liberals are in charge of pubic(sic) education. Go figure.
