I expect it to be cold, (being winter and all that) but someone told me that it will probably be in deep snow. Is this true? Am I making a mistake planning a trip to what sounds like Antartica?

In mid November it's cool. You'll need sweaters and a winter jacket, but nothing extremely heavy. As for snow, don't worry. We usually don't get snow here until about December. However, it doesn't mean we don't get snow in November. You won't have to worry about there being deep snow, that's for sure. Just don't pack your flip flops. A jacket, some sweaters, maybe gloves a toque and a scarf would be a good idea. Niagra falls isn't on the eastern side of Lake Ontario, so unlike Buffalo who could possibly be under a foot of snow Niagra Falls will probably just be cold, probably around 0 to 5 degrees celcius or hovering just below 0.

Well, the earliest it snows is October 31st. There may be light snow in November, an inch at most, but you still have "warm" days where it melts (40-60 degrees F). It doesn't really stick and get deep until after Christmas. Funny thing is, in meterology, they say water keeps temperatures more constant (warmer winters, cooler summers). Syracuse is much colder and gets much more snow. I spent 8 months living out there. BRRR!

I've only been there in July when it was extremely hot and humid.

I'm thinking maybe in November being so close to December that it will be cold. You should dress for the weather.

It could snow, but not deep or long lasting that time of year. They know how to deal with snow in NY, go ahead and enjoy your trip.

Hi,

Don't worry it's very unlikely to snow in Nov.

Expect it to be cold and probably wet.

No... I used to live in that area and I assure you that there WON'T be that much snow, if any at all... Dress warm, though... And bring a few sweaters so you're not wearing the same one day after day...
