engine has no power to idle position sensor or the egr. At idle runs a little rough, a real rough when in gear, has no power when taking off.

When you swapped the engine did you bring the computer along with it?

Try removing the EGR valve and cleaning it out. Fords were notorious for EGR problems. Remove the valve and bang it flat side down on a hard surface or with a hand vacuum supply pump open the valve and spray some throttle body cleaner inside the pintle and seat area and let it sit for a few minutes and then reinstall the valve and that might help.

Has a break in the wire somewhere between the computer and the sensor. Check your other connections first. before tracing each wire. Sometimes is possible a pin can get pushed back in the connector, causing the no signal. Hope this helps.

replace plugs roto cap and button and if it has points then replace them, and then again it could have a bad valve
