I am assuming you got enough smart alec answers like sunshine or a big coat, so I will try to answer this as if you mean hot in terms of sex appeal.
Being hot has more to do with confidence and how you act than mere looks. Paris Hilton has a great body but acts like trash and couldn't be less attractive to me. She is more of a joke than a hottie to most people I know. For guys, a nut job like Tom Cruise may look good, but since he acts like a whacko, many women aren't as interested.
A dynamite figure and looks help, but how people act has more of an impact than what they look like.

people are hot becuase they look good and have a really charasmatic, extatic , risk taking, fun and exciting personality!!
From one point of veiw... i guess its sort of a personal thing. I dont think quiet people r hot but thers this one guy in my grade whos like the way she doesnt talk is so sexy i cant even beleive it. She is so dillegent and i cant even beleive it.
