I was on a website that said the following was the Doctor's real name:
Chrístõdavõreendiamondhærtmallõupdracœfiredelúnmiancuimhne de Lœngbærrow
Is this true? or does someone have an overactive imagination?

Na, that's rubbish. The name seems to contain corruptions of Christopher (Eccleston, the 9th Doctor), (Peter the 5th Doctor) Davison (or possibly David (Tennant, the 10th Doctor)) and (William, the 1st Doctor) Hartnell .

Lungbarrow is supposedly the Doctor's old home on Gallifrey, as visited in the book of the same name, but it has never been mentioned on telly.

The Doctor's name has never been revealed on television, but seeing as all the other Gallifreyans (Borusa, Flavia, Andred, etc) have relatively normal names, why should the Doctors be the tongue-twister above?

I have seen, in a comic book, the first Doctor referred to as 'Thete'. Can't exactly remember where it came from. Also seem to remember the character who called him this was an earlier incarnation of The Master (incidentally, i think the comic book story was suggesting that the Doctor had a part to play in the discovery of time travel).
