Because they are trying to condition the public to ignore the fact that the NAZIs were the Socialist Workers Party that got into power on a Progressive platform, then did what Leftist governments invariably do. They purged anyone who was not for 'the party'.
Leftists try to insinuate that Republicans = NAZIs to distract attention from their own actual connection to Leftist NAZI ideology and methods.

They try to make a mental connection for you. if they can get you to see Bush as Hitler then people will try to get rid of Bush not for what Bush does but for what Hitler did.

because its emotionally charged language designed to associate Bush with them. When even a brief analysis shows that the DNC is now much more aligned with stalin just like radical islam is much like nazi-ism.
But then democrats love hate speech and getting people riled up with lies which accounts for the last several decades of their behavior.
