You can actually call AT&T, who sells Yahoo dial-up for under $10. They will send you a CD and give you a 30 day free trial. If you like it (and you will), then they will just add it to your phone bill. No card required.

You probably can't. Aside from hacking and 3rd party software, XP has a remote desktop, but you have to enable it from the host machine prior to entry. Sorry.
