A chauvanist thinks men are better but doesn't necessarily treat women badly (even if he does think his gender is better). They don't necessarily hate women and femininity. They "just" think they're less than men. They may even treat women in a nice way that they wouldn't ever treat another man in.
A mysogenist hates women and feminity and shows that hatred in any number of small or large ways and overt and subtle ways.
They may have reasons to keep their hatred to themselves, but is usually shows up in their behavior and tastes and opinions.
