0.012" - 0.016"

Don't worry about the TDC stuff. Just turn the engine until the points are opened the widest they will go. The cam that opens the points, holds the points open a little bit and doesn't care where the piston is.

If you have a feeler guage, set it to .015 and make sure that you don't wiggle it causing the gap to open more! You also have to make sure that you are at Top Dead Center for each cylinder as you set the gap!
