My friend is USUALLY very nice, but when I go over to her house, things go.... uggh. She is spoiled and brags about whatever she gets. She gets things that amount to over $50 just for cleaning her room. That's not the worst part. When I sleep over there, she won't share anything with me. ANYTHING. Sometimes she thinks she needs sleep and won't even sleep in the same room as me. And yes, she has gotten a lot of sleep the night before. She LITERALLY thinks the whole world TOTALLY revolves around her. I could go on for a week on how rude, spoiled, and selfish she is. SHE ALSO BETRAYED ME TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But I stay around her because she is fun and usually nice at school. I want to end this though. It isn't a real friendship, and I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!!!!!! She has been my friend for years. What can I do that DOESN'T HURT HER FEELINGS???? I REALLY NEED HELP!!!!!

Just tell her honestly that you don't feel the friendship is going anywhere. Be honest about how she treats you and that you really just want more down to earth friends who treat you nice no matter where you are. Odds are she isn't going to get the fact that she is a spoiled brat, so she will think you are being snobby - but this is on her and not on you. Explain it to her the best you can, part on good terms, and leave it at that. Good luck finding some real friends.

Tell her exactly what you said on Yahoo! Answers. It doesn't sound like she is a true friend anymore. You know, people change, and it seems like she has changed for the worse. Whatever is going on with her, you don't need to deal with. Maybe keep it a "school only" friendship. Who knows, she may realize her faults and come to her senses.

Well if she is as self centered as you say, she may never even notice as long as she has all of her things and money for stuff she does. She does not treat you as a friend should. You know that. Now get off the computer and make a new friend. You know what to do, so do it.

Real friends do not treat people the way she is treating you! You don't need it! Drop her completely. She will then ask what is wrong and you can tell her exactly how you feel. If she doesn't ask - she was never your friend!

Just stop spending time with her. It sounds like she won't notice, and certainly won't address it. If she says something, blame it on her - "you didn't ask me here". Eventually, the relationship will die.

If this attitude only occurs at her home, Don't go to her home.
If she is normal in other environments, Then associate with her only in those environments.
