Why should this century be any different than the last?
Now we're in a hot war, and we are locked in a religious struggle, or holy war, with people that would see us all dead....how ironic.
All things being equal, this world would be a lot more peaceful, if there were No religion.

I think people grow up experiencing history from a text book, as in the past. All the while not realizing that history is transpiring around them. We look back on the Mongol hordes and European colonizers and think "what unenlightened barbarians" when 500 years from now when Humans are battling the poor and weak Klingons for spaceship propellent, the kids will be eading about the US under Dumbya the 1st and thinking "what unenlightened barbarians". History just keeps on repeating. There's always fear.

What is the answer? Technology has been a blessing and brought to us so many wonderful inventions and conveniences. But on the flipside has increase the abilty to destroy. Can mankind grow enough to realise the folly of hatred and intolerence and learn to live together. You see many signs and etc that say "SAVE THE EARTH". Is should say "SAVE THE PEOPLE" because it is humankind that is endangered,. The Earth will heal after we are gone. Yes I think everyone should be afraid and there is good reason to be afraid, It is quite sad. Give su peace but only we can make it happen.
