points that you earn from answers make you move up in levels and you advantages such as being able to ask and answer more question and vote more. when you reach level 5 i believe you are able to ask questions as many times as you want without limits. you can't win stuff if that is what you mean but it does benefit you a lot.

There really isn't much reward out of the points. They are pretty useless, I wish we'd get a prize or something!

when you get a certain amount of points, you increase levels, and as you increase levels, you can answer, ask, vote and rate more times a day.
