You can buy a test that can show whether you are pregnant 5 days before your period is due..
I dont really rely on this but some do..
I would wait until a week after your missed period assuming it is missed and then test..If it comes out negative then dont get disheartned just wait another week.

Usually by the time an ovulation kit has shown a positive you may have already ovulated. Most of the time if you have a 28 day cycle, you ovulate about 14 days later. Not 16-17. In referance to a positive test you can take one as early as 6-10 after conception, which is actually 9-13 days after sex. The more sensitive the better. They measure the amount of HCG in your urine. Some are as sensitive as 15mi Most others are around 25-50 and you would've already have had to miss a period for it to be that high.

I have wasted soo much dinero on the preg tests....just try and be patient and wait until you missed your period....trust me I know its so hard to wait....good luck!
