It wouldn't bother me at all. I can't speak for all black people, (and I prefer to be called black), but I have no problem with people of different races having pride in their race. You would be a fool not to. I do have a problem with anyone who hates a whole race of people just because of their skin tone. PLEASE BE PROUD OF WHO YOU ARE. If you love yourself, you won't have time to hate anyone else.

Have you heard the saying 'You can't please all of the people all of the time?' This simply means that no matter how politically correct you attempt to be someone is going to be upset. Now this doesn't mean that you can't tilt the odds out of your favor by suggesting something as ludicrous as this.
For instance let's just say you are white; I don't know and I am not asking, just positing a hypothetical is all. So, you are white and due to not so long past (or actually past) institutional iniquities you have access, statistically speaking of course, to more and better college funding sources than any other ethnic category of persons. Would it not make sense, then, for those other categories of people to take offense when someone suggests creating yet another opportunity exclusively for the one group that already has the advantage, statistically speaking of course? I'll leave it for you to ponder.

I can't speak for all black people but go ahead. Get your White American College Fund, your White Entertainment Television it wouldn't hurt me any.
What does it matter? White people aren't jealous of black people because some of us have turned a negative to a positive are they?

No, absolutely not...
I won't pretend to speak for the entire African-American population, but as a Black woman, Id like to see anything out there that educates peoples. Education helps ALL communities; which in-turn helps the world.
The United ***** College Fund is needed and adds value. I'm glad it's available and I contribute to it and have for nearly 20 years. It helped me through college at a critical time. There was no other $'s available because I wasn't considered "poor" enough. I had two jobs, and not enough study time. The UNCF looked at my need and my potential for success...and they blessed me. No strings attached. They asked me to make them proud and when I could give back.
Your question sounds bitter. Find a way to give that makes you happy.

I don't know..would they be? I'm not upset that there is a college fund for blacks. Whites are slowly becoming a minority, and also just because a person is white, that doesn't mean he/she can afford college...so yeah, I think there should be one for whites too. And (legal) hispanics, and asians....

where i live there is a whole phone book called the black pages. It is full of black businesses and groups. I think blacks would get very upset if white s had a book like that!

some would which i think is stupid but whatever. Its always about race what about just being human and everything else just cultural. the black people i know like being called black by the way.
