Because Bush had nothing to do with the drop in prices. Why don't I hear conservatives calling for Bush's impeachment and trial for the over 800 laws he has broken and continues to break? Why is there not a unification of all parties to have Bush tried for his war crimes?

Gas prices will never drop so why give him any credit. What liberal is blaming Bush anyway?

Ok just to make you happy, "Thank you Bush for making the prices lower and for eating that pretzel."
Go Double Mint Go! I am now a Green Double Mint party supporter.
Paul K quoted on 9/7/06:
"Double Mint. Both the R and the D seem to attract the "extreme". I believe the answers are usually in the middle and I recognize the need for compromise. I also think it is important to know the person. When I vote, it is usually 1/4 R, 1/4 D, The remaining are Independent or left blank."

Because the price is still nearly triple what it was when he came to office. The fact that the price is slightly lower than the outrageous prices they were a few months ago is not a great Bush achievement.

Liberals only blame never give credit.
Our gas has dropped almost 40 cents a gallon in 3 weeks.
I always knew Bush was never in control of gas prices, it is illogical that a president could control a private business - election time or not.

Because gas prices always drop after labor day - fewer people travelling means lower demand means lower prices.
If gas prices had had any significant drop during the summer, then it would be a different argument.

Crude raises on supply and demand, Chevron thinks they just found a large supply so traders stopped buying options the last couple of weeks in fear that the price will fall.
After that it becomes self fullfilling and the prices fall, until the next driving event.

Why? The prices were high so that they could be lowered before the election, making people think the Republicans were responsible for the lower price.

If the retarded President has the power as you claim to lower gas prices, Why did he wait until now to do so?
If he had the power to lower prices and didn't I blame him for the high prices.
