Shaving all of your legs is fine...ankle to upper thigh...and also your private area as well if you feel comfortable doing so...I have heard that using reg. hair conditioner is good to use to shave...I haven't tried it yet..but sounds cheaper than women's shaving cream...and I hate the freakin' scents they put in them...also use lotion or baby oil after shaving is a great idea, shaving heat bumps when the hair starts to grow back, especially in the upper inner thigh area & private area is not so comfortable for some women...and yes waxing last longer...and you can do it at home, but it can be expensive if you go to get it done somewhere... good luck and welcome to womanhood......=)

Shave it all if you want. If I'm going to the beach I usually shave all the way up to my bikini line, but if it's just normal everyday shaving I do just a couple of inches above my knee. The hairs on most women's thighs is light so you don't have to worry about it as much.
And don't worry if it'll grow back quicker or darker. That's just an old myth. When you shave, the hairs are cut blunt, making them appear thicker. And the only reason they get darker and thicker is because of the aging process. If that were true I'd be shaving my head to have darker and thicker hair... :)

Yes, its ok to shave the back of your legs and thigh. Most women who shave their legs do so. And yes, there is some hair on the inside of your thigh, but it is very thin and light, so you cannot see it as well as the other hair. You can shave all the way up your leg if you want to. Most women do.

Yes, shave the backs and fronts......some girls don't need to shave the thigh area if the hair is light and thin...others have to. If you feel more comfy shaving it all go right ahead...do it all the way up. Also, use a good shaving cream, lather so that you don't cut yourself as easily and you have less of a chance of getting razor bumps. Use a good, new razor. Good luck!

If you want to you can shave there. But depending on the person it can grow back thicker causing you to have to shave more often. I shave my entire legs, from ankle to upper thigh. I have blonde leg hair.

I wouldn't be embarrased...it's just shaving, some girls back of their thighs and thighs don't get very hairy and if they do they are like not very thick hair and sometimes is not dark. There is nothing wrong with shaving the tops and backs of your theighs like its not gonna hurt you. But i mean if you feel more comfortable shaving there, go for it!

if you are young, it is best to shave up to the top of the knee.
my experience has been the more you shave, the darker the hair gets. so now i hate what has happened to the inner thighs, the hair got dark and it grosses me out. the top of the thigh has blonde hair but lots of it.
you can always try waxing.
