Alot!!! Jamacia is a country. Haiti is a basket case. They have very different histories and customs. Just because they may be from the same area, does not make them the same. All the Islands have very different cultures depending on how they started. Haiti & the Dominican Rep share the same Island, yet they are like night and day.

Hatians speak french. Jamaicans speak English. Both Nations are very proud of their History. Jamaica always had a more stable Government. The Hatian Governments were always very corrupt.

Haiti was a French colony, and Jamaica was an English colony. Because of the lasting influences of these historical differences, their languages, cultures, religions and politics are quite different.
