That depends a lot on where you live. I live in Vancouver, BC which happens to be the most expensive city in Canada to live in. I work in law enforcement and make the same salary as other members across the country. Buying a house in Newfoundland in no way compares to buying one here. How much is a good salary? I'm saying less than 40,000 anywhere is going to put you on a strict budget.

It's all relatve to where in the country your living in larger cities and more isolated areas the cost of living is higher. On avereage though if your making over 30,000 a year then your doing fairly well.

it depends what "good" is. but anywhere from $40,000 a year and up is good.
