I think he ranks right up there with Jane Goodall (chimpanzees) and George and Joy Adamson (lions) except that instead of only drawing attention to the need for protection for his favored species (crocodiles) he also made a great effort to promote awareness of the need to help all species. You'll really be missed, Steve-o but I think you made a mark on the world and passed on a torch that will be picked up by many others and carried on into the future for the good of the whole world.

A great human being,unlike any other person on earth. He was more than GOD, and will always be more than God for me. I still think that he is in Australia, looking for another adventure.

I'm still in awe of his being gone. I swear it feels like just yesterday I was sitting back and watching him on Animal Planet with his wife and kids...they had a whole family thing going with the animals...it was kinda cool...
