I don't think so, he may be the right man for a smaller club but Sunderland are a big club with high expectations and it will be too much for someone with no managerial experience. Kevin Keegan may have been a better choice as hes proven in Championship and Premiership level, whether he comes out of the wilderness remains to be seen.

No, it's the worse choice quinn has made since he took over at sunderland. Although maybe he'll scare the players into winning, I wouldn't like to be the ref in a sunderland game with him as manager.
