I would use the same suggestions as for ceramic tile.

I would begin with a bleach solution and let it sit no longer than five minutes according to the professionals. Then try liquid cleansers on any remaining stain. Try a paste made from powdered cleanser and very hot water and let it sit for a while. I would also try the special cleanser made for ceramic stove tops - you can buy them at most hardware stores. Use the scrubbers specially designed for ceramic stoves for this work - no need to cause any more scratches than are already there. You may want to repeat the steps a few times if there is a lot of stain but these methods should do the trick.

Here are a couple of sites with good information. Best of luck with it.

To clean and polish a porcelain sink and remove stains, make a paste of powdered alum (available in drugstores) and water. rub well as if using cleanser. For stains, make a paste of powdered alum and lemon juice; apply and let dry, then moisten with more lemon juice and rub well. Rinse thoroughly.

Borax and water is also a great cleaner for porcelain. Make a paste and rub well, then rinse.

CLR, and Lime Away are great cleaners for stained porcelain sinks. If your sink is worn, or pitted Efferdent, the denture cleaner, is a neat remedy, since it is able to remove stains form pitted surfaces.

I use a powdered cleaner with bleach, such as comet, or ajax. make a paste of it and apply to stain let it sit fore a while then scrub with a stiff brush or scour pad. Might as well do the whole sink because the one spot is going to be brighter.
