Until January 1, 2007 you can get a license after your 16 th birthday if you have taken a driving course, are enrolled in school, and basically have a good record. First you need to get a provisional license and drive with a qualified adult for 6 months, after which you will receive your licence when you submit your paperwork . So you can get your provisional license at 15.5 and your license at 16.
After January 1, 2007 you have to be 18 I believe.
