despite my general loathing for modern American celebrities...
Brad Pitt just said something to a reporter that made my little heart proud. LOL.
"...Angie and I will consider tying the knot when everyone who wants to be married, is able to...."
has he previously been supportive of the LGBT community?

If he's sincere...

Although my first thought was "Brad Pitt's a genius! He's found a way to get out of marrying! Why didn't I think about that before I got roped into it?!?!?"

Time will tell...

Brad Pitt has probably always supported gay rights, he is gay after all. But I think that is the first time he has ever said anything to the effect.

Stay far from Texas!!!........I'm happy that he says that. I don't see how two females getting married is a discrace to the concept of marriage. I would say a discrace is britney spears' 24 hour marriage to some guy....o and lets not forget the extremely high divorce rate???? That is a discrace to whole concept and unity of a marriage!!!! Let the gays and lesbians get married, I'm sure they love each other more than half the straight people that marry for money and good sex.

I don't recall reading that he had previously been supportive; I generally never really cared what he thought about anything! Now I like the way he thinks!

who cares what pitt's stance is on anything? the guy is just an actor. besides, he's obviously just using this issue as an excuse to justify his decision not to remarry because he knows it will be decades before gay marriage is legal nationwide. how is using gay rights being supportive?

Oh please. Why should we care if Brad Pitt gets married or not? And I seriously doubt that he really cares that much about gay rights...

well, hopefully he never gets married then, since marriage is between a man and a woman. why dont u guys invent your own term like homo partners, super-friends, life-partner, same-sex and just as confused legal room mate... etc... Marriage tho is a term that means a man and a woman are married. that's all I care about, the terminology. invent a new word, and I could care less.

wow that's really, i don't know what word to use.
but that makes my heart proud too =)
i'm not gay but i think its discriminating to just treat people like that because of something like that... you can choose to hate someone because of their personality, not their sexuality, race, or anything.
well i don't know if he's previously been supportive of the LGBT community, but angelina jolie is bisexual.

Personally, I'd like to see the queers be able to get married, too...who's it gonna hurt?
HOWEVER: I wonder just exactly how serious he is about that...or is that just something to say to get people off his case?
